About
Brandon Antinopoulos, PharmD, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. For the past nineteen years, Dr. Antinopoulos has been working in community pharmacy in Pennsylvania which has helped him to develop a passion for providing quality patient care. As a student at the University of Pittsburgh, he has worked on the Outcomes Implementation Project as part of the Community Leadership, Innovation, and Practice (CLIP) group and served as his state association's student chapter delegate, APhA-ASP SPAN Coordinator, and Dean's Advisory Board member. As a 2007 Penn State University Accounting Alum, he also has experience with the business side of community pharmacy. Dr. Antinopoulos has experience with the barriers often associated with implementation and maintenance of new services and is committed to overcoming these obstacles so pharmacists can provide better care.
Dr. Antinopoulos completed a PGY1 Community Practice Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Student Health Pharmacy in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association. He worked on the implementation of pharmacist provided patient care services and a state-wide pharmaceutical care network. He also currently is the President of the Allegheny County Pharmacists Association.
Brandon's passion and commitment to always do the right thing derives from his childhood of comic books and superheroes such as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Peter Parker (Spiderman), and Clark Kent (Superman). It was Peter Parker's Uncle Ben who said, "With great power, comes great responsibility." Brandon believes knowledge is that great power. As pharmacists, we have the responsibility to share that knowledge with patients, colleagues, administrators, and legislators to educate and empower them to make decisions to improve the overall health and well-being of our community.
